As a Tech Support Specialist with a broad base of experience in technical support, systems administration and data management, I'm skilled at quickly identifying and resolving everyday issues such as network connectivity, hardware malfunctions, software installation, and system upgrades. I really appreciate the day-to-day impact of my work, and that's why I'm committed high customer and colleague satisfaction and always do what needs to be done for a high-quality result. As someone who's passionate about furthering my knowledge and skills in the IT field, I'm currently studying towards a Bachelor of Applied IT, and, in the midst of it, become experienced in both remote and on-site support for vet clinics.

Hobbies and Interests

In my spare time I enjoy tinkering around with my ESXi server and home network, and playing games with friends all around the world - but it's nice to step away from the computer too! I also have a particular soft spot for board games and tabletop roleplaying games and I regularly attend Commander night at the local game stores for Magic the Gathering, and have been part of several D&D and Pathfinder games.

Cisco Networking

Undergoing training and education towards the CCNA certification.

Microsoft Azure

Worked managing a hybrid Azure/on-prem environment using Office 365 and Remote Desktop with a legacy app as part of my role with Vetora, and I am studying in pursuit of the AZ-104 certification.

JIRA

Performed issue tracking during my work as a Quality Assurance Tester, and used to run a small Agile app development project.

Documentation

Created standard diagrams for the physical and logical network layout across eight separate clinics, wrote up business cases for security improvements and new tools, and documented my processes to provide a clean handover as I departed.

SQL

Built several databases using case studies and covered the database development cycle from requirement gathering to deployment, then leveraged those skills to build the back end for a client website as a final project.

Graylog

Built a small proof-of-concept deployment with Vetora from business case to deployment to provide logging for our Microsoft Server environment.
